There are true blood related sisters, stepsisters, and then there are sisters who are connected through common interest. These sisters are like-minded and naturally comfortable just like blood sisters are with each other. It is a platonic relationship yet there is a strong and deep connection.

While all sisters can be close, the latter is special; these sisters do not need words to communicate, they will call at random times when the other is thinking of something or if they need help, and they always have something to talk about. It does not matter if they do not talk to each other for a while, they easily pick up where they left off.

They will challenge each other to grow, they will share sisterly perspectives and concerns, and they feel when something is off. They will laugh a lot and are genuinely caring towards each other.

This spiritual connection is so strong that outsiders will mistaken them for true sisters, it is so intuitively strong and almost symbiotic like Yin and Yang.

These friendships complement each other, and this deeply trusted connection brings comfort, reassurance similar mother’s nurturing connection is towards her daughters. Friendships like these bring calm and reason to one’s way of communicating and thinking.

To me, my sisters have an eternal space in my life no matter where they are. I feel very fortunate to have several of these wonderful sister friend women in my life with whom I share a sincere connection on an intellectual, emotional, and spiritual level.
