So this weekend is packed with Halloween festivities and yesterday our neighbors hosted a Halloween party. It was kind of a pot luck so people were asked to bring a dish.

They are super easy to make!
Ingredients:
- 12 eggs
- 8 drops Green food coloring
- 8 drops blue food coloring
- A pinch of salt
- 2 tsp mustard
- 2 tsp white vinegar
- 1/4 c mayo
- Black sesame seeds
first, cover your eggs with water and bring them to a rolling boil. Boil for 10 minutes so they are hard boiled.
Remove eggs from the boiling water and then add them to a bowl of cold water to scare them. When I made eggs yesterday, I had gently cracked the eggs with a spoon, and then added them to the cold water which had 6 drops of blue food coloring in it to try to create webbing on the eggs. It kinda worked but as the eggs sat out they sweated and the coloring disappeared, so i would say save yourself the hassle of webbing and if you do. Then do not do the suggested 2 hoTo really get the egg webbing to show up dark enough.ur minimum, rather, i think it is more like 6 to 8 hours rest time. To really get the egg webbing to show up dark enough. Also, you do not want to use super fresh eggs, because peeling them will be a bear. You can add a tbsp of vinegar to the water when you are boiling them to make peeling a bit easier.

I split the eggs length wise, then I separated the white from the yolks. I added the yolks to the remaining ingredients except the black sesame seeds, and then mixed them to a smooth paste with a mixer. You could also add relish to the egg yolks to give it additional pizzaz….People thought I had stuffed them with avocado! I used a pastry spout to make them kind of fancy looking.
At the end i sprinkled black sesame seeds over the entire tray which made it look like it had a bug infestation. Perfect for a ghoulish dish!
I used most of the recipe from The Dukes Mayo website though I am giving additional suggestions on adjustments because of the webbing and based on my experience. Regardless, this recipe was a hit at the Halloween party!
